Teams of PauseAI

PauseAI is not alone in the fight against superhuman AI. The Partnership Team finds common goals and potential for collaborations with other organizations.

The Oversight team can be thought of as the management team, the group of people who manage the other teams.

This team acts like recruiters do: proactively reach out to others (mostly through e-mail). The recruiter team informs others of AI risks, and tries to get them to act!

Educate members of effective lobby strategies.

Inform the Oversight team of strategic insights.

Plan (international) protests, set dates, respond to events, have a clear message and strategy for protests, empower local protest organizers, give them materials and educate them.

Welcome new members who join through Discord, newsletter or fill in the join form. Help new members find their way around and help them find a team or project to join.

Report back on how local organizing efforts have been going and share best practices with other local organizers.

Facilitate Microgrant applications and oversee these projects.

Use surveys and data analysis to understand what people think about AI risks and how they can be convinced.

Our Discord server is where the magic happens. Over 1500 people are on that digital space to share insights and collaborate towards a Pause. So the Discord team has a very important job!

Everything that you see that PauseAI does publicly (this website, social media accounts, newsletters, press releases, youtube) is done by this team!

Maintain the website, the Discord bot, the CRM and other software tools.

Artists make cool things. The Artist Team works on various (mostly visual) projects to make PauseAI more effective. Of course without using AI art.

Make it as easy as possible for new members to take actions.

Make sure PauseAI has funds to do its various tasks! We find potential funding sources and make sure we don't go broke.
